Really pleasant check in. Fantastic room (new part of hotel) with complete black-out shutters, patio, comfortable beds, personal safe, fridge, TV, and lovely powerful shower. Good food, especially the Schnitzel. Great local Bitburg bier and Benediktiner Weissbier. Serving staff were very polite and helpful, allowing me to practice speaking German (poorly) but speaking really good English themselves. Very good breakfast selection to suit just about everyone's needs. Will definitely stay here again if in the area.

We really liked the peaceful location. Even though the hotel was full, it was quiet. We loved that each room had a balcony to enjoy the outdoors. The hotel was very clean, the rooms a good size, we were given two extra pillows on request and they were comfortable, as was the bed. The restaurant food was good, the shrimp appetizer, the burger, and the salad. The breakfast was perfect. We would stay at Haus Hubertus again in a heartbeat—we’d even drive out of the way again. It was a good value too.

Clean and comfortable
We had a very comfortable stay here, with a clean and spacious room. The saunas are great along with a nice relaxation area.
We dined in the hotel as the weather was bad outside with snow and ice. The wait for the food was a little long as we unfortunately arrived in the restaurant just after a couple of groups. However,. when it did come the food was very good.
Breakfast in the morning was a hot and cold buffet, though there was not much left of the hots and we again, arrived just after the large group from the night before...

We had high expectations and they were nigh on all fullfilled. A nice big room and bathroom with everything you need except... air conditioning! In a modern build (2020) one expects this as climate is changing and more and more hot summers occur. The rooms all have a nice balcony, but one can see across into someone else's room. The staff are extremely friendly and efficient. The cleanliness is second to none. In short: if you do not like a warm or hot room, do not go in the summer but in a cooler season.

Winterspelt is a fine stop for a last (or first) stop on a trip to Germany - the local scenery is attractive and good walking country and the motorway Liege-Wittlich is only a mile sway. Parking space was busy but not full. The hotel is clean, modern and attentive to guests - we found our table for breakfast and evening dinner automatically reserved.
